FEBRUARY 9, 2008, ROANOKE ISLAND FESTIVAL
PARK, MANTEO, NC
We ran the
8K this morning in Manteo, the weather
was BEAUTIFUL. Perfect for a run. We
had 35 runners on the course and 5
children participated in the fun run.
Three teams of 2 participated in the
"Sweetheart" part of the race with the
winning team netting a pair of candles
and gift certificates to Tortuga's and
Kelly's restaurant. Caribbean Pools and
Spas was our main sponsor and provided
all the runners with t-shirts, Gallop
Funeral Services provided bottled
water. Thanks to Roanoke Island
Festival Park, the Town of Manteo, Dare
County EMS, Tortuga's Restaurant,
Kelly's Restaurant and all the
volunteers from the Outer Banks Running
Club!
